Seasons Greetings to one and all

Wishing you a Merry Christmas. There is very little work happening anywhere on Christmas Day - take yourself away from your daily routine, turn your phone off, don't think about work, enjoy quality time with your family, friends and loved ones. Grasp that opportunity with both hands.........it doesn't happen often!

And if you know someone who isn't as lucky as you, who doesn't have the benefit of loved ones to spend the day with, reach out and do something, however small, to make them feel that they matter. An invitation, a phone call, even a simple text.......they all count.

I had gone off the rails but Dan helped me get back on track and rediscover my confidence. He is very easy to talk to, makes me feel comfortable and validates my thoughts where before I felt they were silly! Dan has given me belief, and the desire and motivation to re-energise my life, improve my diet, improve myself and embark on a new fitness regime. I was angry with myself before, but not now. I am now happier with who I am, have more confidence...........I've got my mojo back! Angela My 12 year old son was wetting the bed and feeling unhappy since starting secondary school. Both of these issues have now improved considerably in the short time since I brought him to see Dan. Dan is someone he can talk to outside of the family unit who is kind, calm and really able to connect with him, so much so that he has asked to see him more regularly. My son is now more relaxed, confident and much happier at school. Dan has had a real impact and been instrumental in this positive shift. Su I saw Dan following the loss of my father, his natural and easy manner allowed me to relax and open up, taking us in other directions than merely grief. He gave me some simple steps which could be implemented from that first session. Professional, calm and quietly assertive, I am sure there is no problem that Dan could not address, whether it be personal or professional, 1-2-1 or in a group. Sarah I have found Dan's very calm and subtle approach far more effective than my previous experiences with other practitioners. He takes time to listen to the things I want to discuss rather than direct his own agenda. In such a short space of time I have found a massive improvement in every aspect of my life and I feel that with very subtle and effective methods Dan has facilitated rapid change. I would highly recommend Dan to anyone, he will assist you in setting, targetting and achieving all your goals. Jamie After over half my life struggling with day to day living (with many different therapists), Dan has shown me how to achieve a confident, positive, happy, and emotionally free way to think which has begun to change my life in a very short time. His calm astute guidance can be highly recommended for achieving success whatever goal it might be. Penny Dan's kind, gentle and genuine ways had me feeling relaxed from the outset. It was clear that his knowledge of how the mind works and what i needed, became clear very quickly. I knew I was in safe hands! With a 9 year history of insomnia and sleeping pill addiction I thought I would be a tough nut to crack but Dan's reassuring ways had me relaxing in a very short space of time. The way he explained to me that together we would retrain me to trust in naturally becoming free of my troubles seemed hard at first, but with his professional guidance it just happened! Olivia I could not have got through my post traumatic stress resulting from a car accident without Dan. Dan's combined treatment of hypnotherapy, life coaching and NuCalm, together with his amazing approach to listening and helping you understand your anxieties, will bring you back to your complete calm. Thank you Dan. I will be forever grateful. Hayley Dan brought back to my life happiness and confidence. He's a brilliant human being and special at what he does. Lilli Dan is a professional and approachable person. He helped me with issues in my life and I feel that I can breathe again. Lyn H Dan is a fantastic guide and coach, helping me understand myself and my true goals. I found my sessions to be extremely beneficial. I am now able to tackle my anxieties and build my confidence. It feels great to be excited about the future and positive about my life. Thanks Dan. Zara I contacted Dan at a time when I needed direction and a different way of thinking. He refocused my thoughts and provided me with a positive energy which allowed me to push my boundaries to new levels. Thanks to Dan I now feel more confident and better prepared for life’s challenges. I highly recommend Dan to anyone who is looking to better themselves in any given environment or just someone to talk to. Adam working with Dan has given me the tools to cope with my anxiety and worries so much better. I can now recognise my behaviour and deal with it there and then before it escalates and I feel further panic and anxiety. Whilst I know I will have good and bad days, I feel the bad days have now become so much easier to deal with thanks to our sessions and homework you have given me. Ellie I started seeing Dan a couple of months ago and booked his initial six-session package. Dan has been so helpful in my life, so much so I have opted to continue seeing Dan for a further six sessions. I have achieved things personally that I would have never of thought was possible before seeing Dan and I guess that is all you can ask for. Dan has created a space in which you can speak freely and places great emphasis on the fact that we are working together to achieve exactly what you want to. Dan is not a clock-watcher; he is attentive, thought-provoking and makes you feel completely at ease from start to finish. I would highly recommend anyone seeking help and direction in their life to see Dan as he can assist you in not only realising your goals and personal development, but instilling the self-belief in you that is necessary. I am looking forward to continuing my development with Dan and excited at the further progress I am going to make with Dan in my corner! James Dan was fantastic in helping me understand myself better. He enabled me to address the things I wanted to change, mainly by altering the way I think about things. Dan was able to break down each situation, give a different perspective, and has given me the ability to take his advice with me through various techniques. Dan could relate to and advise me on any difficulty I had, and I couldn’t recommend him highly enough. Sam I was initially quite apprehensive to pick up the phone to Dan. I’d been recommended to speak to him even though I didn’t feel like I was in need of a “Life Coach”, as on paper things were going well. However from the initial first phone call, right up until to our last session I felt comfortable. Dan has helped me re focus on what is important to me which has been vital in a hectic lifestyle with work pressures and a young family. He has the ability to ask all the right questions and make the suggestions that deep down I knew, but wasn’t able to apply. I’m so glad I picked up the phone when I did. Stephen I have consulted with Dan for about 10 weeks now and will continue to do so. I have found our work together to be valuable and extremely helpful. There is no doubt that both my day to day life and "bigger picture" have benefitted in many ways, including clarity as to what is important to me, focus on how to achieve that and tangible results. Alan Dan has been terrific in helping teach our 18 year old son basic organisational skills and study techniques. It was the beginning of James’ last year of school when he came to me admitting he had forgotten about (and subsequently failed) 2 tests and that he had no idea how to go about learning the copious amounts of material his A levels were presenting. It was a scary realisation to come to terms with in his A level year; luckily we found Dan! As Dan and James are both passionate about playing football, there was an initial “click" between them and Dan earned James’ trust from the start. As James’ parent, having Dan as a third party responsible adult that James could lean on/confide in gave my husband and I so much relief. We had gotten into a bad pattern of nagging James to do his work which just set him off. Given the dynamic we had fallen into, I knew that we would need a 3rd party to help navigate this challenging year. I also realised that he could not graduate and go on to uni without having learned the very basics of organisation! Dan has provided calm and sound advice to James throughout; in the end James gained new organisational skills, achieved strong A Level results, and refers to Dan as a “friend”. We are so pleased that Dan successfully prepared James to achieve the grades he was always capable of, but as importantly, Dan helped preserve our relationship with our son. Thanks again and as I mentioned before, I don’t think you have seen the last of us yet! Kathy After working for a few months with Dan the change has been phenomenal. After being diagnosed with ADHD at the age of 39 I felt utterly helpless .. I was lost as to where to start to change patterns I’d been stuck in for decades in a way to cope. Dan has identified and broken down behaviours and shown me to how to do the same allowing me to tackle things in different ways. I am so much more aware of how I am reacting, and changing how I look at things. A huge sense of calm has settled on me and I feel like I have stepped into a new chapter of my life, armed ready to enjoy and achieve things I would have had no chance of doing stuck in the patterns and mental rut I was in. Such a lovely guy and really understanding without making you feel weak and inferior, and actually small changes make huge huge differences in your life. Dan is also working with my husband and has also helped our teenage son with tips and tools to help him achieve! Could not recommend him enough! Feel like he is part of the family :-) Vicki I cannot recommend Dan enough! We asked him to help our 17 year old son who was finding the transition to college quite difficult. Dealing with ADHD means that organisation and planning is not his forte and this was having a negative impact on his mindset. Dan worked with him over 6 weeks and I can honestly say I am blown away by the positive changes we have seen. He has embraced the planning process, which has reduced his anxiety and has lead to a much more positive outlook. We will be continuing these sessions with Dan as he is now firmly a part of our son’s support network going forward. It has eased my mind knowing that Dan is always there for him. Renee I met Dan via a referral from a good friend. After our initial meeting. I realised Dan had something very special about him. I’m not the kind of person that likes to talk about himself or show his feelings, but with Dan, this came very easily. He is very calm in his demeanour and very reassuring. I’ve only seen him a few times , to say he’s changed my life is an understatement. I’m looking forward to seeing him again in the near future. I would not hesitate to recommend Dan he’s a true gentleman in every sense of the word. Sacha Dan is the most genuine, supportive, interested, understanding and motivating life coach. I have been having sessions for six months and he has supported and guided me in a direction that is highly positive and has supported me in learning and achieving things that I never believed were possible. If you are looking for someone you can trust who will support you on whatever venture you want to go down, someone who is willing to listen and understand, you are in the right place! Look no further as you can only leave a session feeling positive, motivated and ready to achieve all personal goals set at whatever pace you want to move in! Jessie 1. I would say Dan saved my life. I know that's a pretty big statement On the outisde, my life looked good, but inside, I was struggling with many things and they were getting on top of me a lot of the time. I wasn't in a good place when I first went to see Dan. To be honest, I wasn't sure anyone could help me. I'd spoken with several psychologists and psychotherapists and talking therapy and CBT didn't work. Apps for meditation and breathing did nothing although I appreciatae they do for some people. Exercise helped but the benefits were always short lived. Whilst medication dulled the pain a little, I was still in agony and it was made worse by the fact that I spent most of my time wearing a mask pretending that everything was ok. Maybe you or someone you know has one of those masks too. I immediately felt a great connection when I first sat down with Dan. Here was someone who I could talk about anything with, whose responses didn't feel that they were from a text book; someone who helped me relax, to recognise the good in my life, helped me be better prepared for situations that could lead to anxiety and therefore avoid or significantly reduce it. I've been able to reflect on my life in a completely different way. I've been working with Dan almost every week for 16 months now. That first call was one of the best things I have ever done and now I'm in a place where I can help others close to me which in itself helps me too. That's thanks to Dan! Dan has helped my 18 year old son immeasurably over the past academic year. From the beginning Dan’s patience, good nature and thoughtfulness shone through, but it was his clear strategies and his gentle encouraging support which made such an ongoing difference. He is kind, consistent and constructive. My son never felt patronised, but heard and understood. Belief in his own individual abilities began to grow. I could not have wished for more. Thank you Dan. We were lucky to find you. Karin I began having my sessions with Dan Piler at the start of Year 13, following an ADD diagnosis. I was offered invaluable advice and support with tailored and achievable strategies in our weekly sessions. Our sessions were always free from judgement, and Dan would adapt his advice if I was struggling to follow through with a certain organisational system. I could rely on Dan to act as my accountability partner to justly remind me of my goals and what I had previously committed to do, if I ever became disheartened; but most importantly by doing so Dan allowed me to begin to develop my own internal accountability checks. Now having achieved my short-term goals and continuing to progress towards my longer-term ones I am filled with a strong and novel sense of grounding, confidence, and of course a sense of gratitude for all of Dan’s work, his patience and good humour.
