Executive Function coaching
Executive Function coaching helps you to develop self awareness and form new habits, enhancing your life and helping you become more successful at mastering the skills you need to flourish. Often the barrier to success for individuals struggling at school or the workplace have their roots in challenges with executive function skills.
Most of us have an array of executive function skills strengths and weaknesses. Identifying weaknesses can help in order to devise strategies to overcome these weaknesses, and because of the malleable nature of the brain’s neural pathways, techniques to overcome executive function challenges can be learnt.
Executive Function Coaching fits perfectly with my holistic approach to coaching and integrates seamlessly into my sessions with clients.
Connections in Mind
Connections in Mind are a highly motivated team of experts committed to supporting executive function development in children, adolescents, education providers and adults. Executive functions are a set of skills that reside in the prefrontal cortex of the brain and help us to plan and organise our responses, behaviour and emotions. These skills have a profound impact on children’s educational success, act as a strong indicator on educational outcomes during adolescence and promote health and success in adulthood.
The core Executive Functioning (EF) skills include Planning and Prioritising, Working Memory, Sustained Attention, Flexibility, Emotional Control and Time Management. These skills are critical not only for success in school, but for typical tasks in everyday life as we move into adulthood.
At Connections in Mind we believe Executive Function skills coaching can be transformative, not only for the child but also for the parents, as well as for adults wanting to achieve more in their home and professional lives.
